McAfee VirusScan has been reporting false positive the past few days.

Webweaver (standard install)
c:\program files\webweaver.exe
v 1.33.0.0
date 12/3/2005 @ 7:21pm

McAfee 8.7.0i, engine 5400.1158, DAT version 5879 (up to date)
been doing it since at least yesterday, DAT version 5878
reporting as "Generic Qhost!bb"
(Thankfully not auto-deleting file)

I've submitted the file online, but can you follow up with McAfee as the author?
This thread details how to do this electronically.

I've got 1.32 (5/7/2005) on another machine, and there is no false positive with that.

You could continue to experiment with the cache settings to see if it improves the situation as well as possibly adding additional RAM or freeing more RAM (e.g. by disabling unneeded programs/applications). There may also be a possibility that some other application is "leaking" and causing the performance issues as WebWeaver has had a very good history of being very stable for long durations.

From a performance tuning perspective, if the system is not dedicated to WebWeaver, you might consider doing so. In extreme cases, you might even consider disabling the FTP portion, if not absolutely needed and all other RAM/applications options have been exhausted.

Thanks for the information. Actually improved performance, but only for a while. My site has no more than 4000 visits per month and should not cause this problem. There's no way that the cache is cleaned automatically after a certain time?. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Who owns a site and has never heard of Hotlinking???
Sounds very suspicious. Did they agree to stop hotlinking?

Hi,

I was just wondering why your rewrite engine doesnt include Apaches features for hashes and external program rewrites.  Is it because of performance?  Are you thinking about extending it at any time to include these features?

Thanks.

Which part of "No WebWeaver doesn't support rewrites." are you having difficulty in understanding or are you just a senseless lame bot?

pretlenue,

If you are managing the server, then you might try resetting the password and checking your server for possible file/storage system corruption, otherwise you should contact the administrator of the server you are referring to.
